Folkl.org is Folklore.
folklore | ˈfōkˌlôr | noun
the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, passed through the generations by word of mouth. (Oxford Dictionary)
Folklorg is stories.
We created Folklorg to help bring personal stories–films, series, and other media–to people who enjoy laughing, crying, but also having their ideas challenged, and their world broadened. These are deep and heartfelt stories about personal obsessions, challenges, and the intersection of technology and people.
Folklorg is entertainment.
Nobody wants to watch a film or show that takes your attention but doesn't give back. Folklorg is entertainment, pure and simple. If we're not making you glad you watched, we're not doing our job. Independent films and stories have to be stories worth telling, well told.
Made for people like you.
The large streaming platforms want you. Social media sites want you. So do we, but we're a little, Canadian platform working within our means. We're David, they're Goliath. Little-by-little we want to improve the media landscape–more fair, less biased, more exciting–with the ultimate goal of making a significant impact-crater in the crowded social-media/streaming universe, and freeing our friends from the grasp of our beloved but sometimes evil mega-corporations.
Join us.
We're looking for people to tell stories, and people to bring this platform to life. We're beginning a new thing, if you get on this elevator at floor 1, we'll try to get to the roof, together.
Love,
Noah (the guy who started all this) [email protected]
